Baby clothing size question?

My husband and I are very large (6 '& 6'5 "), were the boys largest ourselves when we are born, and I fully expect to have a baby 10 + pounds. I'm 32 weeks and is already 5 pounds 8 ounces. My mother told me I have to buy baby clothes that are marked by a month to 12 years if born weighing 10 pounds (my husband is also 23 inches long and was 21). I bought a pile of clothes ordered 3 months because the size chart says 12-17 lbs, but my mother told me she can not go there and my baby is too big for the clothes of the day he was born. Is this true? Should I change the clothes I bought for size 12 months? My MIL sent me a pile of clothes in size 6-9 months. Will they be too small for a baby 10.11 pounds, which is approximately 23 "long? This is my first time I did not know about clothing sizes. Any advice is appreciated!

N j 'keep your 12 months in the tissue for later! Unless your budget is tight and have to share! but I can tell that the clothes 12 months ago is not a newborn, whether big or not! I have a baby macrosomia (large babies) and so I bought clothes 0 -3 months and no babies! Size newborn is formed, but not very long. The paintings can actually make weight to ensure they are suitable for newborn and is generally up to 10 pounds! The size of 0 -3 months should work perfectly and would be a little too much at first, even if the baby is big! At least they are cleaner and help to save money. You could also consider providing some 3 to 6 months size only if you have the time to 0 – 3 months begins to be stretched! This way you are used to run to the store and can buy things as needed and not feel rushed. I think it will be fine with 0 to 3 months to start. There were large babies in the past and this is what worked for them. Both are more than 9 pounds at birth. The third baby is supposed to be over 10 LBS by birth. Good luck and I hope this helps! Issue: 6 to 9 months is very large, and for a macrosomic baby. Fabric is swim! 0-3 months is best to begin with.
