Not finding the sex of the baby …?

Why is it so difficult to find clothes for baby gender-neutral, decorating rooms and equipment? I realize most people now know the sex but I just want to be a surprise and so it is really difficult for me not knowing exactly why no gender-neutral clothing so pretty there. I searched online and Babies R Us. Even the supposedly neutral bedding looks even smaller for my girl. If it is completely neutral is ugly. It was nothing to put on my list from birth to walkers, etc. Does anyone have suggestions of what items they have chosen a neutral for their babies? The reason I ask is because I have a big family and not have to buy anything for a year! I do not want my daughter dressed as a child of one year or vice versa!
